Travel kit and passport

12.07.2018

Time is running so fast and tonight at 9 pm I will be already on board the plane directed to New Delhi.

A bunch of emotions are going through me all at once.

I’m feeling proud of myself of finding the brave to make this trip truly happen, excited to finally start it and a little bit scared to do it completely alone.

However, I never had any second thoughts about my choice and I’m confident I will have any even once this journey has started.

I read somewhere that when you travel alone, you develop a belief in yourself and an appreciation for who you are that makes you feel stronger day by day. And That’s my real only expectation from this experience.

I left my home to wander around India and Nepal for two months believing that by realizing something on my own it could help me to charge my confidence again, pushing to my limits and relying on my only strengths. Hopefully, I’m going to find what I’m looking for.

I’m aware many people are a bit worried thinking about me so far away from home travelling alone around the Indian suburbs.

For this reason I came up with the idea to open my own travel journal. I thought it might be an original way to let my folks know how I’m doing here so that they can rest easy. I’m confident my mum will be my top follower:)

Moreover, I guess it will be fun to write posts about my adventures day by day and to share them with whoever is going to end up into my blog.

Most of my friends told me I’m crazy, I like to define myself more as a dreamer and dreams generally lead you to ideas that, however crazy they seem, they will end up exceeding your expectations.

Which reminds me my big brother’s toast he made the night I told him about my choice to leave…

He looked at me holding his beer and made two cheers in honour of “good ideas”.

I liked that toast, simple but appropriate. If you need to shake things up you need a good idea.

Stay tuned I will write soon about my first day in New Delhi!
